WOCA Panel White Paint is a special full-matt paint for yellowed and discoloured woodwork, grooved T&G boards, ceiling and wall panels from oak and other wood species including pine. The product is also suitable for skirting’s and architraves and other woodwork that does not require a hard-wearing surface. Panel White Paint is for untreated or reviously lacquered surfaces and gives the wood an ultra-matt soft appearance. Panel White Paint prevents yellowing of new woodwork and reduces the occurrence for a natural defect or knot to bleed through to the surface. One of the other main benefits is the natural appearance of the wood and grain structure is still visible through the white paint treatment. After first application, nicotine and colouring agents from the wood might bleed through and therefore Panel White Paint MUST be applied twice in order to obtain the desired covering effect.
The wood must be completely clean and dry. Clean with WOCA Wood Cleaner mixed with water in the ratio 1:40. Now the surface must be cleaned with clean water. Previously lacquered surfaces must be cleaned off/sanded in order to emove poorly adherent lacquers. We recommend to test on a small area in order to estimate the result.
Stir the Panel White Paint well before and during use. Containers with different batch numbers are to be mixed to avoid differences in shade and gloss finish.
Apply the product with a short-haired felt roller or brush in an even covering layer. Always apply lengthwise with the wood grain. To obtain a covering effect, the area/wood must be treated 2-3 times. The surface can be re-painted (at 20°C) as follows: if its applied to new wood the drying time is approx. 2 hours and older wood needs to be left 18 hours before the next coat in order to obtain the correct barrier effect.
Tools to be cleaned with water and soap.
