WOCA Worktop Kit is used for oil treatment and maintenance of worktops and other indoor wood surfaces. The oil is easy to work with and creates a durable surface with high resistance. Worktop Oil is an air-hardening oil that penetrates deep into the wood, leaving a tough water- and stain-resistant surface. The oil highlights the wood’s natural glow and gives the surface a natural, fresh appearance. Worktop Oil is safe for food contact and can be used on surfaces that are untreated or that have previously been oil-treated and sanded. The kit contains all you need for the entire treatment: 0.75 L Worktop Oil, 250 ml. Intensive Wood Cleaner, black sanding pad, white polishing pad, one lint-free cloth, one pair of gloves and work instructions.

Worksteps

Instructions
Products in use
  1. Sand old and previously treated surfaces with GRIT 180 sandpaper. Vacuum clean the surface thoroughly.
  2. Thoroughly clean the surface with Intensive Wood Cleaner, mixed 1:20. Then wash with clean water. After cleaning, leave the surface to dry for at least 8-9 hours
  3. Stir the Oil carefully before and during use. Container with different batch numbers should be mixed before use to avoid differences in shade and gloss.
  4. Use a paintbrush to distribute an appropriate amount of oil in an even, covering coat. If possible, the reverse side of the work surface should also be given a coat of oil.
  5. Wait approx. 30 minutes at 20°C, while the oil soaks into the wood. Apply more oil if dry areas appear.
  6. Polish with the Hand Scrubber Flex Kit White along the direction of the wood grain. This will make the surface more durable.
  7. Then wipe off all excess oil with a lint-free cotton cloth. No excess oil should remain on the surface.
  8. Allow the surface to rest for an hour and repeat steps 3 to 7.
  9. The surface should be treated two or three times before use. For the final treatment sand in wet oil with 320-400, before wiping off with a lint-free cotton cloth.
  10. The oiled surface can be used after 24 hours at 20 degrees. During this period, the surface must not come into contact with water. The oil does not harden completely until after about a week. Therefore, treat with care during this period. Any spilled liquids should be wiped up immediately.
Wood humidity must not exceed 18%. High temperature and low air humidity will reduce drying times. Low temperature and high air humidity will extend drying times. The worktop should be maintained at least once a year, or when necessary. For a superior result, use Worktop Oil or WOCA Maintenance Gel. For a more thorough restoration, follow the entire procedure.
